First of all my formal education – a bachelor degree in sports physiology from Høgskolen i Lillehammer, Norway. Besides that I have over the years gathered extensive experience both as a cyclist, athlete and coach. I am an avid learner of endurance sports and study both books, published articles, science literature and share experiences with others. All have their different ways; coaches, scientists, physios and athletes all have some good points to bring along.
I believe in a general periodization of training. First focus on building a training base to endure more intense training. When the foundation is in place, it’s time to increase intensity and construct more race specific workouts. My approach is scientific and I know how important it is with feedback and dialogue. I work using TrainingPeaks as a planning tool, analysis software and training diary and recommend you use both a power meter and a heart rate monitor for me to best assist you.
If you are interested in my services as a coach and want me to help you reach your goals and take steps to get closer to your potential, please don’t hesitate to contact me. I am very flexible to work with and together we can find an appropriate approach that suits your needs and requirements.
